Course Overview:

New health and safety measures will have a major impact on every housing organisation's construction and building maintenance projects.

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) housing associations will need to ensure the contractor they've appointed to carry out such work has taken the necessary measures to protect worker safety. Appoint the wrong construction or maintenance firm and responsibility may fall on your housing association.

This course will ensure management and housing staff have the right skills and training to ensure your organisation won't fall foul of the regulations and risk legal action. It gives a comprehensive overview of the CDM regulations and helps prepare the housing workforce for the challenges ahead.

The course will benefit estate and asset management staff of refurbishments as well as development staff of new-builds. It is suitable for estate officers through to senior development staff. You should have a basic grasp of the existing CDM regulations or an interest in construction health and safety.
