This course builds on the Domestic Electrical and Heating Installations Course 1, giving candidates a more advanced understanding of the regulations governing electrical installations.
The focus of the course is on terminology, location and common defects. The course teaches how the regulations affect domestic electrical work and the key points to check, in addition to the basic electrical principles.

- Building regulations Part L, M and B (fire)
- IEE Requirements for Electrical Installation, 17th Edition
- Requirements of Part 4, Protection for Safety Regulations
- Review of Part P Building Regulations
- Safety checks on existing installations
Who should attend
This is an intermediate course designed for technical staff and surveyors who need to update their knowledge on electrics and electrical regulations. Delegates should have a good basic technical knowledge.
