Course overview

A large proportion of complaints reviewed by the Housing Ombudsman are about maintenance issues.


This one-day course is aimed at anyone who is asked to investigate and respond to complaints from residents
about maintenance.

The course will help you to provide a great service to residents when they feel things have gone wrong.

 

During this course you will:

  • Have looked at the regulatory environment around complaints
  • Review the role of the Housing Ombudsman
  • Be able to recognise a complaint
  • Know what to consider when investigating a complaint and confidently carry out an investigation
  • Consider how to investigate and resolve complex maintenance issues whilst staying focused on the customer’s needs
  • Identify the components of a good complaint response
  • Look at the different ways we can learn from complaints to improve how we deliver services to residents

 

Our trainer is a very experienced complaints manager who will use case studies during the session. You will be encouraged to discuss your own experiences.
